Daredevils in Cheltenham are being urged to join a charity abseil. Fundraiser Dave Stallworthy needs at least 250 people to descend the 160ft Eagle Tower, in Montpellier Drive. The fiundraising campaign is for 11-year-old cancer sufferer Nikita Moore.
Eagle Tower owner Mel Griffin has arranged the event on November 18 and 19. He called on the services of Dave Stallworthy of fundraising company D & H Promotions, to help him in his quest to raise a massive £50,000 in one weekend.
Dave riased £20,000 for the Spring Centre in 2004 with an abseil down the tower. He said “We have less than six weeks to pull this off to help Nikita. We are looking for a minimum of 250 people to raise at least £100 in sponsorship. We are hoping may of the participants will riase much more.” Already one of Mel’s friends has pledged £3,000 to do the abseil!
