Nikita continues to strive valiantly despite the Medical profession essentially giving up on her and wishing to send her home for palliative care. Her body continues to fight the infection caused by the tumours and she remains resolute in the face of great adversity.
Simon Treselyan made the decision to cut short the US leg of his tour and return to the UK from the USA tomorrow (the 14th) in order to assist Nikita. Once more we faced a challenge, this time one of attempting to change the flights on a non changeable ticket. After explaining the situation a very helpful Supervisor from British Airways Executive Club went above and beyond the ‘call of duty’ to do the ‘Right Thing’ and change the flights, allowing Simon to get by Nikita’s side two days earlier than planned. Well done to BA for not allowing themselves to be bogged down in bureaucracy and rising above the challenge to create a positive result.
So what can we expect now? Well we do not know. What we do know is that hospitals do not create a positive environment for healing and the love and support of others counts for more than the science and prognosis’ of the Medical profession who invariably cannot accurately predict the future either.
Simon will get back to the healing and motivation of Nikita as soon as possible with Mel following close behind to co-ordinate the Abseil this weekend. After all we have to wait for Mel because he is first off the building! Over 100 people have had the courage and fortitude to sign up for the Mission Possible so far. Over 100 people have the belief that Nikita will indeed rise above the challenge of her illness. Over 100 people wish to soar like Eagles over Eagle tower to create a difference. Over 100 people are waiting for people like you to join them!
You know in life…there are three types of people…Those that Make it Happen; Those that Watch it Happen….and Those that say ‘What Happened’. I wonder which one you think you are and which one come Sunday you will actually be! See you on the Tower.
